We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time position of Principal Test Systems Technical Lead Engineer.

This position will provide experience in a lab environment to work with weapon test system designers to understand requirements, design solutions, integrate, and deploy the systems to help support test and tactical software development, testing, and delivery of missiles to the warfighter. Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Communicate regularly with the program Integrated Product Team Leader (IPTL).
• Responsible for the Technical Execution of the program.
• Work directly with the Program Manager/IPTL to establish and complete program milestones.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team in an engineering environment.
• Develop and participate in presentations for gate reviews.
• Attend Failure Review Boards (FRBs) when required.
• Attend Change Control Boards (CCBs) and approve system changes.
• Report status metrics for your team to stakeholders.
• Define program requirements in a multi-disciplinary team.
• As the lead, you will be expected to provide training, as needed, understand the scope, cost, and schedule of the Progra,m and define/delegate tasking for your team.
• Travel up to 20% to support the development and/or delivery of our test environment equipment.

The Test Equipment Directorate is a multi-disciplinary organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for testing. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrating state-of-the-art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selecting and integrating with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products. These core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems. The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for helping to maintain the technical, cost, and schedule aspects of their assigned projects. • Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment Engineering in multidisciplinary engineering teams

This position is focused on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software as part of on-site factory support of systems to support weapon system product development. The selected candidate will develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using the software style, development language, and integrated development environment specified by the organization.

The selected candidate will contribute to multidisciplinary engineering teams. Typical work involves the development of both engineering and production equipment, environments, and systems. As such, the candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of product development for RMD weapon system products. They will be expected to work, either as a part of a team or independently, to design, develop, and implement system-level applications in support of producing and maintaining weapon system products.

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C#, C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on a Windows Operating System (OS)
• Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently
• Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation
• Work in a multidisciplinary engineering team environment
• Develop and derive requirements for software products
• Lead and mentor junior software engineers

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience in developing and integrating software applications using programming languages, including but not limited to C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic.
• Experience in utilizing integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure the integrity of the software products.
• Prior experience in the Windows Operating System and Microsoft Visual Studio is required.
• Prior experience in laboratory test instrumentation, electronics, and software (Ex, oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters)
• An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques
• Experience in the development of software drivers for the operation of computer hardware interfaces. Experience in common computer hardware interface and data protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, or RS-422. Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design
• Experience in software development lifecycles, such as Waterfall and Agile
• Experience with Software Configuration Management principles

•  Leading one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
• Performing MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses, or the customer’s approved equivalent
• Coordinating with customer safety representatives to gain safety approval from the appropriate Safety Review Board authorities
• Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.
