Job Description: We are looking for a talented Windows Application Engineer to join our client s team at the MDA.
Provide support for design, implementation, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of web applications.
Provide support for a variety of hardware and software platforms in an Active Directory environment utilizing MS SQL Server 2008/2014 and Internet Information Service (IIS) as well as other tools.
Resolve software conflicts, install and configure Windows 2012/2016 application software, troubleshoot and resolve client-server and web application issues.
Install/configure IIS and web applications.
Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation and Guides (STIGs) for web servers and websites.
Manage applications including BMDS Asset Management (BAM), Forefront Identity Management FIM), AtHoc Interactive Warning System (IWS), Aspera, IBM I2 Analyst, Oracle Primavera, and other web applications as required.
Coordinate efforts with other Enterprise IT Services crews to include Server Management, Boundary Protection, Enterprise Database Team, Infrastructure Services, Information Assurance, Release Control Validation Management, and vendor support personnel to resolve Incident Requests, Problems, and Change Requests (familiarity with Remedy software and the CRQ process are desirable).
Manage COTS, GOTS, and other developed software applications.
Interact with customers to gather requirements and ensure applications meet expectations.
Provide support for other duties as assigned.
Primary duty hours fall within the 0700-1700, Monday - Friday time period, but must be able to work after hours to support maintenance and to provide limited on-call support.
Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizens with a current and active Secret clearance
Candidate must possess at least a High School diploma (or equivalent) and 12 years general experience; or an Associate's Degree and 10 years general experience; or Bachelor's and 8 years general experience; or a Master's Degree and 6 years general experience.
6 years directly related experience, and 3 years in a management or leadership role
4 years experience in system administration and applications support
Experience with one or more of the following: managing web-based (Windows IIS) applications; Windows 2012 R2, Windows Servers 2016 and web servers; installing and configuring IIS; deploying patches to Windows Operating Systems and vendor patches for applications
An active DoD SECRET security clearance
A DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification or higher
Windows Server 2012 R2 / Windows Server 2016 system administration; configuring/managing web sites/applications using IIS 8.5/10
Experience troubleshooting IIS web server 8.5/10 and database issues.
Capable of a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); BMC Remedy; configuring/managing WebLogic
Ability to configure/update/manage Oracle Primavera, IBM i2 Analyst, Microsoft Identify Management, AtHoc IWS, IBM Aspera
Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency and BMDS programs
ITIL v3 Foundations certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) for Project Server 2013 and/or SharePoint 2013/2016
In-depth experience in O&M activities
