Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Systems Engineer (Puppet) to join our Client's team.


Job Description

  • Design and implement the deployment pipeline for continuous delivery of code and configuration changes the Puppet pipeline
  • Automation of the provisioning and management of Linux servers
  • Experience maintaining, developing and automating large clusters using configuration tools with Puppet
  • Strong practical Linux Redhat systems administration skills in a cloud or virtualized environment
  • Prior experience of operating highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions
  • Strong hands-on experience in any of the scripting language Shell, Perl, Python, or Ruby
  • Knowledge on distributed applications/enterprise applications is plus.
  • Deep, working knowledge of web, database, and OS server configuration (Linux, Apache, JBoss and MySQL preferred platforms)
  • Document process from conception to completion.

Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:-

  • 7+ years’ experience in programming with Puppet Pipeline
  • Fluency in at least one scripting language; Shell, Perl, Python, or Ruby
  • Expertise in Linux environment (preferably RedHat 6, 7, 8)
  • Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with puppet upgrades is a plus
  • Experience with new puppet deployments for puppet 7 or 8 is a plus
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
