Blackstone Technology Group, an award winning technology consulting and staffing firm is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team at our client site in Aurora, CO.

Job Description: We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our client s team working on world-class software that will manage satellite assets and services for an advanced and resilient satellite-ground based communication transport services system. The program is currently seeking a software engineers to join our team. Their responsibility include the software design, implementation, and integrity of the application. Candidates should have ability to work well on a team and independently.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and integrate software in a scrum team environment
  • Implement automated testing and deployment techniques in a DevOPS approach
  • Adhere to accepted standards for development, including participating in peer reviews, conducting design reviews, and writing automated tests,
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks to achieve program milestones
  • Meet agile work products deadlines per completion criteria
  • Ability to demo completed software stories and features

Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizens with current and active TS/SCI access

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS or TS/SCI SSBI level
  • Enthusiastic and energetic performer
  • Minimum 6 years working experience in software development
  • Experience with JAVA and/or JAVAScript and/or Cucumber
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions
  • Team player incorporating a team based success philosophy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in systems engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, cyber security, or related engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of/or experience with Systems Engineering or Software Architecture technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques
  • System Engineering or Software Architecture experience on a large government software development contract
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle models (Waterfall and Agile) and program lifecycle modes
  • Knowledge of at least four of the following systems engineering functions:
    • requirements development and management,
    • architecture
    • system design
    • interface definition and control
    • integration and test
  • In-depth understanding of the following:
    • AWS Cloud Services
    • Multi-tenant cloud-based ISP/ASP architectures
    • Service-based frameworks for third party application development
    • GEOINT processing systems, capabilities, formats and standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as required to achieve milestones
  • Desired Skills and Certifications:
    • Broad, multi-discipline engineering skills with the ability to work across disciplines at a variety of technical levels with external Customers, program development staff and leadership, and Third-Party Application Developers
    • Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation
    • Experience developing DoDAF / MoDAF architecture artifacts using System Architect/Rhapsody/MagicDraw or equivalent
    • Experience in CONOPS / OPSCON development, especially in workflow related area to this domain
    • Experience analyzing and decomposing requirements using DOORS
    • Ability to the identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk
    • Working knowledge of ICD 503

Education Requirements:

  • 6 years with a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math or related technical degree; 6 years with a MS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math or related technical degree
