We are seeking a Software Architect that will have the overall responsibility for the architecture and development of software solutions for Additive Manufacturing technology platforms.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with other professionals in a cross functional global team to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software applications and platforms.

Develop high-level concept and product specification of software applications and platforms. Define interfaces to integrate new solutions into existing software and platform portfolio.

Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.

Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to a global development team.

Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.

Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and fix software field issues.

Promote ideas and make sound technical decisions as software expert.

Follow up with customer or applications team to address questions and obstacles.

Re engineer  concepts and solutions as necessary.

Ongoing solution development coordination.


Experience and Education Requirements:

Bachelor’ s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (MS or PhD Preferred)

Minimum of 10 years’ experience developing software for technical products, experience with full software lifecycle

Excellent expertise with Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft .NET, C#, C++, XML, Objected Oriented Design/Development, SQL Database, Multi-threaded Programming, Cloud computing, Mobile computing, Windows OS

Experience in algorithms, and scientific and industrial measurement technologies is required

Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture and design patterns

Strong technical leadership skills, excellent technical mindset with great attention to details

Excellent verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting technical information to a global internal  teams

Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, able to communicate the requirements across different technical and managerial levels at customer sites

Experience with Agile/Scrum is a plus
