The Senior Network Engineer leading diverse company projects, including infrastructure maintenance and new architecture.
Operates company's internal data communications systems.
Plans, designs and implements local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP).
Supports/troubleshoots network issues and coordinates with vendors for installation of such items as routers and switches.
Works on project implementation.
Provides training and assists with proposal writing.
Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.
Designs, analyzes, plans and modifies network components supporting customer communication implementation activities.
Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods.
Prepares the analysis of the short-term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling.
Conducts network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.
Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.
Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections.
Fortinet/Fortigate Firewalls / Cisco AP s and Routers, / Cisco and HP Switches
Routing - EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, Static Routing
Security Access-list, Firewalls
LAN Switching, HSRP, Port-channels, Trunking, IP addressing for migrations and new architecture

Linux Various distributions and shell scripting
Various tools for troubleshooting
Bachelor s Degree with 10-12 years relevant experience
Experience with mainstream monitoring solutions
Experience with Linux Distributions and Shell Scripting
Physical layer connectivity and troubleshooting abilities
Network layer troubleshooting
Network (LAN/data-center) architecture and design
WAN architecture and design, including connectivity and troubleshooting
Network integration and migration background
Perimeter edge and internal security to include firewalls, IDP/IPS and ACL s
The ability to produce proper documentation
