Senior Network Administrator III

Blackstone Technology Group, an award winning technology consulting and staffing firm, is seeking a Senior Network Administrator professional to join our team and work for our client in Colorado Springs, CO.

Job Title: Network Systems Administrator III
Location: US-CO-Colorado Springs
 
Deliverables: 
•     Complete IDF closet cutover from HP to Juniper switches. Will require cable patching/interconnect work that may require testing cables.
•     Support IDF closet power migrations from local UPS to tech power circuits
•     Work MACD (Move, Add, Change, Delete) network tickets as assigned
•     Complete cable acquisition & integration for data center re-build.
•     Complete switch configurations for data center re-build.
•     Optimize network connectivity resiliency by clustering D-building switches that handle offsite location connectivity
•     Optimize network connectivity resiliency for the BYOD/Guest networks by adding a redundant router
•     Collect wireless network performance data to be used for wireless network refresh.

Job Overview/Qualifications: 
•     Experience working with Juniper EX switches and SRX routers. Juniper enterprise switching (JNCIA-JUNOS) certification a plus.
•     Experience working in data closets and working with copper and fiber cabling, interconnects and patch panels
•     Able to coordinate technical requirements supporting network migrations
•     Able to communicate well with non-technical staff to evaluate network needs and troubleshoot network transition issues
•     Experience working with Aruba wireless products
•     Will need to work with Service NOW change and incident workflows and work with the team to create communications to the organization so they are aware of impact, timing, expectations and communication channels.
