Job Description: We are looking for a talented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our client s team at the MDA.
Performing daily operational activities for the Quality Assurance process in support of Ballistic Missile Defense system events/operations.
Executing Quality Assurance tasks in adherence with documented policies, processes, and procedures.
Performing product and process audits to include: audit preparation. in-briefing, conducting compliance audits, creating audit report, documenting findings, coordinating with other engineers for resolution, conducting verifications, tracking findings to closure, and presenting audit reports to management.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to operate and multi-task in a challenging and dynamic environment while demonstrating planning, coordination, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor in interacting with a wide variety of people.
Ability to work independently with little oversight or supervision as well as within in a team.
Primary duty hours fall within the 0700-1700, Monday - Friday time period, but must be able to work after hours to support maintenance and to provide limited on-call support.
Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizens with a current and active Secret clearance
Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate s degree and 10 years of general experience; BS/BA and 8 years of general experience; Master s Degree and 6 years of general experience. General experience must include 6 years of Quality Assurance project and process auditing experience and 3 years in management or leadership roles. - Must demonstrate an understanding of project management lifecycle and risk management
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
Will be required to work from ladders, scaffolding, elevated surfaces, and below raised floors
Will be required to climb stairs, squat, kneel, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Candidate must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Possess QA certifications, a related degree, ITIL Process experience, ITIL Intermediate Certification for Service Transition
Knowledge/experience with QA Auditing, Engineering, System Lifecycle Methodologies
Knowledge/experience with Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode Effect Analysis
Working knowledge of Risk Management Systems, ISO 9001, AS9100 with practical application experience
Knowledge of Missile Defense, Software Engineering, Engineering Services, DoD communications systems, or process improvement initiatives
