Mid Configuration Manager

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Mid Configuration Manager to join our Client's team.

The Mid Configuration Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

The candidate will:

• Conduct comprehensive audits of artifacts and asset inventories to create and maintain accurate, as-built models and drawings for the assigned area.
• Use Visio and other modeling tools to create and maintain as-built configuration drawings or models.
• Review and research Change Requests and other work vehicles to complete tasks using the Remedy™ ticketing system.
• Consult with engineers to understand configuration changes to update all related drawings and artifacts.
• Update and maintain the Configuration Management System (CMDB).
• Help update and maintain property records.

• Be able to prioritize assignments for themselves and junior personnel to complete work in a timely manner
• Be able to provide useful suggestions on improving processes
• Be able to maintain a positive and friendly working relationship with customers and peers
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Have a sharp eye for details
• Have be able to move between the big picture to small details, thinking when needed.

Basic Requirements:

• Must have 8 or more years of general (full-time) work experience
  • May be reduced with the completion of advanced education
• Must have 4 or more years of directly related experience in any of the following: Configuration
• Management, Change Management, Technical Engineering, Asset Management, Auditing, and/or Metrics
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Be proficient in Microsoft Visio
• Have experience using the Remedy™ ticketing system
• Have a working knowledge of IT areas
• Have experience working with Configuration Management
• Have an ITIL certification
• Have experience with Model-Based Engineering or a Modeling tool (such as Cameo)

Security Clearance Required: secret
