Job Description

A Project Management role has opened within the Program Management Office (PMO) for a skilled project management professional to deploy key ITSM process in a ServiceNow environment (Event, Incident and Problem Management) ideally in a Datacentre Operations environment.

 

Within Digital Realty, the Project Manager defines scope, develops and maintains the project schedule, manages the project team, provides status reporting, and is responsible for project deliverables.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the role will include but not necessarily be limited to the following:

  • Understand, define, and regularly review and analyze the project scope for potential changes.
  • Control for changes to project scope, schedule, budget, and other constraints.
  • Identify, track and manage project-level risks and issues.
  • Maintain project-level schedules and status information. Report project-level health to executive leadership and IT leaders regularly on project performance.
  • Responsible for all aspects of a project lifecycle from initiation through to close, and for on-time delivery of project deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholders. Communicate scope, goals, requirements, and implementation strategy with stakeholders to ensure clarity and consensus among those involved.
  • Ensure the writing of important project documentation by project team members.
  • Create a working environment that allows and encourages everyone to work to the best of their abilities.
  • Ensure that the highest quality standards are met.

Key Skills Required

  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience.
  • Experience deploying ITSM process in a ServiceNow environment.
  • Experience working with virtual teams across multiple regions.
  • Experience in managing the critical aspects of enterprise application/process transition projects, from requirements, to design, to development, to test, to change control, to release, and to support.
  • Ability to quickly grasp the strategic, tactical, and organizational aspects and value of a project and its deliverables.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to deliver results on time and to the very highest standards.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Executive Stakeholder management skills and experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Foster Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problem, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead: Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.
  • Make Decisions: Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.

 Desirable Skills (Differentiators)

  • PMP, Scrum, or equivalent Project Management certification a strong plus.
  • Data Centre / Data Centre options experience/exposure a strong plus.
  • Experience delivering global, enterprise-wide projects.
  • Experience running projects emanating from M&A.
