Role Overview

Client seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives across Forgent’s enterprise environment. This role will be responsible for driving large-scale business and technology programs spanning Finance, Commercial, Operations and IT portfolios, ensuring successful delivery of strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, standardization, and scalability across the organization. This individual must be a hands-on, execution-focused leader who can independently drive programs forward, align diverse stakeholder groups, and ensure measurable business outcomes.

 

Initial Focus Areas / Key Programs

The selected candidate will immediately lead the following high-priority initiatives:

Sales Propel – Quoting Platform Transformation

  • Build and deploy new quoting capabilities for the Solutions business
  • Standardize and unify Opportunity-to-Order processes across Forgent entities
  • Integrate with ERP, CRM, and downstream order management systems
  • Drive alignment across Commercial, Operations, and IT teams

AP Automation & Standardization (Coupa Implementation)

  • Lead implementation of AP automation platform (Coupa)
  • Standardize Accounts Payable processes across multiple entities
  • Reduce manual invoice handling and improve financial controls
  • Coordinate Finance, IT, and vendor stakeholders to ensure adoption and compliance

 

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Execution

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional IT and business programs
  • Develop and drive program execution plans, timelines, dependencies, and milestones
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, IT strategy, and program deliverables
  • Act as the primary accountable leader for program success

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Drive alignment across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and IT teams
  • Partner with Business Process Owners (BPOs), functional leaders, and executives
  • Navigate complex organizational dynamics to move initiatives forward
  • Influence stakeholders and resolve conflicts to maintain progress

Execution Discipline & Delivery

  • Proactively identify and remove blockers to keep programs on track
  • Drive accountability across teams and vendors
  • Ensure structured execution of key phases: discovery, design, build, test, deployment
  • Maintain focus on delivering business outcomes—not just technical completion

Stakeholder Communication & Executive Engagement

  • Provide clear, concise updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Translate complex technical and operational topics into business-relevant insights
  • Facilitate decision-making by presenting trade-offs, risks, and recommendations

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and vendor deliverables
  • Ensure alignment with financial targets and cost control expectations
  • Coordinate with vendors and system integrators to ensure performance and delivery

Risk, Issue, & Change Management

  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage risks and dependencies
  • Lead issue resolution with urgency and clarity
  • Manage scope changes and ensure alignment across stakeholders

Change Management & Adoption

  • Ensure strong business adoption of new systems and processes
  • Coordinate training, communication, and transition planning
  • Drive accountability for post-implementation success

 

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of experience leading IT projects/programs in complex enterprise environments
  • Proven experience delivering cross-functional transformation initiatives
  • Experience with ERP, quoting/order management, finance systems, or AP automation platforms (e.g., Coupa)
  • Strong background working across multiple business functions (Finance, Commercial, Operations)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs involving process standardization and system implementation
  • Experience managing vendors, system integrators, and external partners
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
