Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Lead Model-Based Systems Systems Engineer to join our Client's team.
Description of Duties:
The Lead MBSE Systems Engineer for Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
The Candidate Will:
- Perform Systems Engineering and Project Management activities including, but not limited to: requirements analysis, scheduling, documentation and traceability matrix development, preliminary design, critical design, detailed design, test and evaluation, research and development, implementation and fielding, and sustainment and operations throughout the entire life cycle of the MDSEA program.
- Stand up Model-Based Systems Engineering Program
- Scope and execute: studies, analysis, detailed requirements definition, system engineering, preliminary and detailed system architecture designs, and system development of Enterprise Services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers to include all supporting facilities.
- Maintain alignment to support Team Leads: infrastructure, networks, integration, logistics plans, cybersecurity and physical security protection plans, and cost and schedule estimates for the development, fielding (launch), tests, and operations of planned space capabilities.
- Develop and implement an MDSEA environment for Research and Development (R&D) of Experimental or Developmental BMDS space capabilities and future operational systems as well as providing technical guidance for operationalizing capabilities for the Agency.
- Perform impact assessments of customer requests.
- Coordinate across the MDSEA environment and supported tenants.
- Ensure MDSEA products, services, and capabilities are delivered to the customers.
- Validate and verify documentation of MDSEA Enterprise solutions.
- Serve as functional lead for MDSEA System Engineering staff
Basic Requirements:
- Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 14 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 8 years of general experience
- Must have 8 years of experience directly related to the support or management of IT systems in a systems engineering capacity
- Must have 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership role
- Must have experience in systems engineering, virtual machines/environments, systems engineering “V” process methodologies and tools
- Must have a strong working knowledge of MBSE best practices, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls
- Must have a working knowledge of any combination of the following technical/management skills: MagicDraw, Cameo, Rhapsody, Windchill, Doors, Velocity Template Language (VTL)
- Must have a working knowledge of any combination of the following technical/management skills: software engineering, Linux and Windows systems administration, web applications/deployments, storage management, effective database management techniques
- Must have experience with creating and/or using: style guides, ontology, model packages, metadata and tagging, Master Data Plan (MDP), Data Governance, and/or Access Control Policies
- Must have an active current DoD Secret security clearance
- Must be able to obtain an active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI
Desired Requirements:
- Have experience with project management
- Have documented experience developing and editing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) products for major space and IT systems
- Have extensive experience and working knowledge in both ballistic missile defense and space applications/systems
- Have Professional Certifications by INCOSE or in any of the technical skills listed above and demonstrated commitment to professional developmental in their field(s)
