IT Operations Support Specialist

The IT Operations Support Specialist will provide Tier 1 IT support for our client s employees. This role will consult and advise employees in the proper use of technology. The individual will ensure accurate and timely response and resolution of all activities related to workstations and SaaS services. The Specialist will assist other cross-functional IT staff in scheduled projects and after hour s maintenance and testing.


Monitor and document Jira IT tickets and respond to user requests and incidents in a timely effective manner.

Be well organized and create a dialogue to ensure end-users understand the progress of ticket resolution.

Performs customer follow-up on all resolved issues to ensure expected results were achieved prior to closing tickets.

Have a courteous, professional approach and attitude to working with all end users.

Educate customers on policies and procedures, including new hire orientation.

Assist in IT incident management/outage issues.

Provide general hardware/software support for computers.

Provide assistance as needed for general project implementation and post-production validation/support.

Identifies trends by tracking events and patterns of recurring problems and escalates as needed.

Support end-user workstation, software, PBX and printing.

Extend hardware life-cycles by routine maintenance such as virus-removal and part replacement

Serve as a point of contact and assist different groups in hands-on work, including but not limited to: Network, various workstation and/or site-specific projects, telecommunications, and security teams.

Maintains accurate equipment inventory and produce reports upon request.

Storage room inventory and clean-up.

Desired Qualifications:

1-2 years of related experience

G-Suite / Office 365

Apple hardware and peripheral troubleshooting

macOS, most recent and current versions

Printer device support

Software application support

In-person and remote support skills

Good written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate technical support to non-technical people

Excellent customer service skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to adapt, embrace and support change in the infrastructure and culture

Ability to apply appropriate technical/functional knowledge to work
