Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking an IT Governance & Business Process Improvement Analyst to join our Client's team.


General Role Description:

The IT Governance & Business Process Improvement Analyst will be responsible for assessing and documenting end-to-end current state governance processes and other identified IT processes. They will define, document, assess and analyze IT processes and identify areas for improvement. They will ensure processes are aligned with set objectives and guidelines by meeting with stakeholders to document current state workflows and prepare documentation to develop recommendations.


Duties include:

  • Create a unified and structured process with defined accountability and responsibilities for continuous improvement, monitoring, remediation, and recommendations.
  • Implement or integrate a prioritized scoring and weighting process in collaboration with the IT Portfolio Manager while securing input from cross-divisional leaders.
  • Implement a formally defined, centrally managed set of required artifacts supporting the IT Governance Process.
  • Develop detailed process documentation and training materials (e.g. tip sheets) for the overall governance process.
  • Implement a tool to track issues and gaps for resolution and remediation. March 15,2023
  • Define metrics/KPIs based on business context, and risk scoring to support governance and management, adopt new tools and reporting.
  • Produce weekly governance stage gate packages using standard toolsets (PowerPoint, Vision, Word, PowerBI and Service Now).
  • Create and manage the IT Governance Compliance Committees with internal stakeholders that act as the first line of oversight and escalation for compliance requirements, risks and impacts across process and operations.
  • Create and lead a unified change control process to ensure end-to-end customer and compliance lifecycle has accountability and accuracy

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of business analysis work experience
  • Certification in governance, program management, Lean and/or other process improvement and change management (CGEIT, COBIT, CGIT, ITIL).
  • Six or more years of relevant process improvement work experience
  • Experience supporting IT governance, standard governance framework and governance strategy alignment with enterprise objectives.
  • Experience cultivating excellent relationships with cross-functional team members and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience leading multiple, complex projects in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to clearly communicate at all levels within an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver well-organized and engaging presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, and continually changing environment.
  • Experienced in facilitating multi-disciplined workgroups to develop solutions to problems and/or consensus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications including Visio, Teams and SharePoint

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing governance metrics for monitoring and reporting
  • Experience writing policies and procedures
  • Experience using SmartSheet.
  • Experienced in organizational change management (OCM).
  • Six Sigma and/or project management institute certification.
  • Experience working in a large health care system and familiar with clinical and operational applications.
