Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Front End Developer (PHP/JavaScript) to join our team at our client’s site.

Our cutting-edge Media client is looking for a Front End Developer to join their team for a 12-month plus REMOTE contract.

Your Day to Day:

• Design, build and support high-performance, scalable and innovative frontend components
• Develop and optimize high-performance services
• Provide technical leadership to the team
• Partner with our frontend, backend engineering, and SRE teams to build and deploy services
• Help build a culture of good engineering processes and practices
• Work in all phases of software development

Key Projects:

• Participate in the migration of the framework
• Convert features into services
• Manage and optimize application dependencies
• Design and develop features tests for the applications
• Design and build A/B test features

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with web application development
• 2+ years of experience as a tech lead
• BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design, data structures, and algorithms
• Deep understanding of web application development and best practices 
• Experience developing responsive websites
• Solid PHP, JavaScript, CSS, Sass/LESS, HTML ability
• Solid knowledge of HTML DOM and Event APIs
• Solid knowledge of Gulp and/or Webpack
• Effective communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with frameworks like Symfony or Laravel or Zend
• Working knowledge of Docker and CI tools
