Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Enterprise Security Architect - Palo Alto SASE to join our Client's team.

Engagement Summary

The Enterprise Security Architect will support an effort to specifically define and recommend how to operationalize an Identity-Based Security strategy by establishing Identity as the foundational control plane for security and access decisions across applications, information, and network environments. The architect will help facilitate alignment between Infrastructure Services and Security leadership, evaluate strategic and tactical decision points, and provide recommendations on the future-state architecture, governance model, and platform ownership required to support client's long-term security modernization objectives.

Role Responsibilities

The Enterprise Security Architect will work with an assessment team comprising of an engagement lead and functional analysts to execute on the following core tasks: 

1.Understand business and technical requirements that will drive client's IAM policies.

2.Review client's current IAM environment, processes and tools.

3.Assess how identity-centric controls should be integrated into client's security architecture.

4.Provide recommendations on which platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Palo Alto SASE/XSOAR, and other relevant technologies) should own policy decision-making, just-in-time access orchestration, and policy enforcement functions.

Role Expectations

-Act as Technical Security Lead on best approaches and techniques to establish a Zero Trust security posture for safeguarding a client's IT application network.

-Help map out client's current IAM/security architecture (diagrams, technical specifications, etc.) along with any recommendations to improve the security architecture per best practices. 

-Act as Technical SME for Palo Alto SASE on how to best leverage the toolsuite to support Client's Cyber Security objectives. 

-Contribute to assessment report, including identified strengths and weaknesses of current IT cyber security landscape - with focus on recommendations on how to improve the current setup (via appropriate tools, policies, procedures) to best meet client's IAM/security objectives.

Required Skills

-Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

-10-12+ years of experience in information security or infrastructure engineering.

-3+ years in a security architecture role.

-1+ years of Palo Alto SASE tool suite.

​-Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, IAM/MFA, DLP, firewalls, vulnerability management).

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Experience

-Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM Preferred

-Experience in healthcare multi-site or cloud-native environments

Travel

-Ideally in SF bay area. If not, PST-based to be in same timezone as client and our prime contractor team under whom we will be working.
