  • Design electrical circuits and provide data acquisition programming to support product testing requirements. 
  • Interface with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components, systems, and functions that require actuation, control, and monitoring to satisfy test specifications.
  • Manage and perform calibration for variable frequency drives (AC/DC) and data acquisition system components of multiple test venues.
  • Assist with trouble shooting product electrical components, sensors, and controls that measure or regulate speed, current, torque, pressure, flow, and temperature.
  • Balances the " hands-on"  practical application of a technician with knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering.
  • Research, develop and design electronic interface circuitry applications for control of products.
  • Assist electrical designers in the development of electrical, schematic, Interconnect, cabling and assembly drawings.
  • Ensure equipment scope and content is defined during initial design processes.
  • Develop applications of controls, Instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and Industrial uses.
  • Direct activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, Installations, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate design projects to assure maximum utilization of engineering expertise.
  • Provide leadership in preparation, and ensure that projects are controlled with regard to scope, schedule, budget, performing appraisal, etc.
  • Establish design criteria for projects using required codes and standards.
  • Review contractual content to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure subsequent design changes are documented and transmitted as required to internal and external resources.
  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Required Skills:
  • Provide hands-on leadership for electrical testing set-up and execution for product testing, life cycle testing, and design verification testing.
  • Design electrical circuits and provide data acquisition programming to support product testing requirements.
  • Interface with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components, systems, and functions that require actuation, control and monitoring to satisfy test specifications.
  • Manage and perform calibration for variable frequency drives (AC/DC) and data acquisition system components of multiple test venues.
  • Assist with troubleshooting product electrical components, sensors, and controls that measure or regulate speed, current, torque, pressure, flow, and temperature.
  • Support the facility electrical power infrastructure relative to understanding its main source(s), transformers, distribution, utilization, and limitations.
  • Support application of LabView interface for product testing, programming, test monitoring, and education of technicians on its use.
  • Provide a source of knowledge for electrical motors, drives, major components, as well as, industrial cable design, power/profibus applications, and construction.
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred in Industrial Equipment Environment.
