Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Director of Enterprise Applications to join our Client's team.


Role Overview 

Our client is seeking an experienced and seasoned Director responsible for the strategy, development, delivery, and maintenance of enterprise applications that support the clients mission-critical business processes within the discrete manufacturing industry. The selected individual will be a member of the IT Leadership Team, holding a critical and influential role. The Director, Enterprise Applications ensures that the applications running within an organization are efficient, integrated, and aligned with the overall business strategy.


Our ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing and growing a culture of innovation and engagement, leveraging our current and emerging resources toward the goal of strengthening the systems efficacy throughout the organization. This position will provide vision, coordination and leadership to a technology ecosystem that includes ERP, CPQ, Document Management, Workflow Management, CRM, BI and Custom developed platforms.


This position reports into the CIO.


Key Responsibilities

-Strategic Planning and Management: Developing and executing the strategic roadmap for enterprise applications to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. This involves

collaborating with senior management to understand business needs and translating them into technical requirements.

-Implementation and Integration: Leading the implementation of enterprise applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. This includes project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and overseeing the configuration and customization of applications.

-Budget Management: Developing and managing the budget for enterprise applications, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI. This includes identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing expenses related to software licensing, maintenance, and support.

-Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring the performance and usage of enterprise applications to ensure they meet business needs. This includes developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), generating regular reports, and making recommendations for improvements.

-Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with enterprise applications, including security vulnerabilities, compliance issues, and system failures. This involves implementing robust security measures and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

-User Support and Training: Providing ongoing support and training to end-users to ensure they are effectively utilizing enterprise applications. This includes developing training materials, conducting workshops, and addressing user concerns and feedback.


Technical Skills  

-Demonstrated proficiency in IT leadership role working on complex enterprise IT systems.

-Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes and how technology supports it.

-Experience managing IT portfolio along with 10+ person IT teams and ecosystem of IT vendors to deliver on client project needs.

-Experience with managing IT portfolio budgets, from both planning and budgeted monitoring/management.

-Implementation experience with ERP systems, for at least part of their professional ERP career.

-Working knowledge of Microsoft tools, including MS project, Word, PPT, Teams.

-Familiarity with JIRA.

-Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.

-Strong problem-solving abilities.

-Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders at all levels.


Remote/Travel  

-Up to 40-50% travel to both client HQ (Bronx, NY) and other client sites throughout US and to Canada (e.g., NY, Toronto, CA, etc.).


Education & Experience  

-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.

-10-12+ years of project leadership/management experience; experience managing a software development life cycle.

-10+ years of manufacturing experience, with concentration in MTO/discrete manufacturing.

-5+ years of IT application architecture, integration, and conversion experience on multiple platforms.

-3+ years of ERP implementation experience.

-2+ years of CRM implementation experience.
