Director Program Management
Job Description
Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Director of Program Management to join our Client's team.
Expertise will include:
- Program Management experience + BD/Capture experience, and comfortable working in a very technical environment. Typical duty balance is 50% manage 1 or 2 large existing programs as the lead, 50% of time capture new business with proposals, demos and customer meetings etc.
- Developer Optional: (don’t have to be a software developer but need to have a strong history of working with them), and a technical background.
- Deep SME experience & People Skills - needs to know a DoD sector well enough to lead account management and overall program success/growth in customer facing role
- Availability for Travel: This job will be mostly focused on the local site, but may require occasional travel to industry conferences, exercises or out of town customer meetings.
- Strong PM Leader: Similar skills to Program Manager, but experience running across multiple programs with supporting junior program managers
- More Capture Work: 80% of time on Capture / Farming / Management, 20% of time working key programs as an individual contributor
- Do Real Work: Can’t be a “management only” type of person, needs to be hard working and humble servant leader who can jump in and do the work and train the next generation by getting their hands dirty working with them
- Availability for Travel: This job will be mostly focused on the local site, but may require occasional travel to industry conferences, exercises or out of town customer meetings.
Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI
- College Degree (4 year Bachelors)
- Relevant DoD & Software Experience (5 years+ base minimum ideally 10)
- Average Job Tenure >2 years (if we see changing roles frequently <1 year pass)
- Strong software development and top 10% indicators (PM is the only one where being a software developer is optional)
- Live near the Job Site: need to live close to site (<30min) so that coming in regularly or on an unscheduled basis isn’t a hardship.
Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI
