Blackstone Technology Group, an award winning technology consulting and staffing firm, is seeking a Desktop Support Systems Administrator, to work at our client site in Columbia, S.C.
Brief Synopsis - This position is for a Systems administrator/Analyst to provide help desk support for the Executive Office of the U.S. Attorneys and System Managers at U.S. Attorneys Offices.
Background - The Executive Office for United States Attorneys' (EOUSA) is responsible for providing administrative, technical and operation support to all 94 United States Attorneys' offices (USAOs) located in over 240 geographically dispersed sites throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Guam, the Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The EOUSA Office Automation (OA), Telecommunications and Technology Development (TTD), and Case Management (CMS) and Information Systems Security (ISS) Staffs provide for the identification and analysis of the business needs/requirements to USAOs necessary for the design, development, and deployment of secure office automation, wide and local area networking, case management and other applications. All four of these staffs must rely, however, on contractors to deliver many of the high level technical services needed to maintain the technology deployed in EOUSA and USAOs.
Scope of Work - The purpose of this Statement of Work is to define the Operations support position contracted under the NOC/TechOne Task.
Requirements - The System Administrator candidate must possess a solid working knowledge of networks, servers and desktop applications with the ability to multitask while working through issues on both phone calls and emails. The candidate should be familiar with: troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and network issues as well as Active Directory administration; Microsoft Windows 7; Microsoft Server 2008 R2; Microsoft Office 2010 including Outlook and Microsoft Exchange. Candidates with additional skillsets on Cisco switch administration using PuTTY; Blackberry Enterprise Server administration; AirWatch software supporting iOS devices including iPads and iPhones; Remedy ticketing software; VMware and/or vSphere administration; Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 used for imaging, application installs and security updates; troubleshooting EVoIP phones; Aruba wireless controllers and access points would be given extra consideration.
Excellent communication and documentation skills are required.
Performance -. The contractor shall perform duties at 1600 Hampton Street, 3rd Floor Columbia, SC and any Office of the US Attorneys as required for OSSM support. The contractor shall work a shift between the hours of 7: 30 a.m. to 9: 00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays and may be required to perform standby support. The contractor will work in an office setting; some walking, standing, bending and carrying of small office items may be required.
Security Requirements - All personnel, including the support required by this initiative, must be United States Citizens, and must meet the DOJ Residency Requirement. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to assure that proposed employees for each aspect of this task have met federal investigative standards and are suitable for employment and/or access to national security information. Certification of requirements from either the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) or the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) will be required. The minimum investigation required is to be cleared for a BI and can be expected to hold up to a Top Secret clearance. Contractors shall agree to comply with the NISPOM
EOUSA shall not initiate requests for appropriate investigations on behalf of the Contractor' s employees unless EOUSA requirements mandate an upgrade of the contract employee' s existing clearance after initial task award. The Contractor shall provide a Contractor Security report meeting the minimum information requirements of Attachment (5) of the basic order on a real-time basis, updating as changes occur and delivering within three working days of any changes.
