Job Description
Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Data Steward to join our Client's team.
Data Steward (Business – MRP Data Readiness)
The Data Steward will play a critical role in preparing and maintaining high-quality master data to support the successful implementation of an MRP program on NetSuite. This contractor role will report to the VP of Transformation, SIOP, and Materials Management ensuring that item, BOM, and related master data are accurate, complete, and aligned to the target operating model. The Data Steward will partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and IT to drive data cleansing, standardization, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Master Data Cleansing & Enrichment
- Cleanse, standardize, and enrich item masters, BOMs, routings, and related data to align with target-state manufacturing processes
- Data Validation & Quality Assurance
- Establish and execute data validation rules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across datasets
- Alignment to Target Operating Model
- Ensure master data reflects future-state product structures, manufacturing locations, and planning requirements
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve data gaps and discrepancies
- Support MRP Readiness
- Prepare data required for MRP (lead times, sourcing, planning parameters, etc.) and ensure readiness for system configuration and testing
- Data Governance & Standards
- Help define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and ongoing data management practices
- Testing & Deployment Support
- Support system testing (UAT) by validating data within NetSuite and ensuring expected outcomes in planning and execution
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and manufacturing data structures
- Strong understanding of item masters, BOMs, routings, and MRP concepts
- Experience in data cleansing, data quality, or master data management
- Ability to work cross-functionally and resolve data issues with business stakeholders
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or engineering operations
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or MRP programs
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools
