Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Data Conversion Specialist to join our Client's team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Extraction: Identifying and extracting data from source systems.
  • Data Transformation: Converting data to a new format or structure, often involving mapping and scripting.
  • Data Validation: Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the converted data. Creation of reconciliation and validation reports for use by relevant business teams.
  • Data Loading: Loading the converted data into the new system or database.
  • Testing: Performing conversion testing to ensure proper functionality and data accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Working with clients and project teams to understand business needs and ensure successful implementations.
  • Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving data-related errors and issues.
  • Documentation: Maintaining documentation of conversion processes and best practices.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Data Modeling: Understanding data structures and relationships. Prior experience with major enterprise systems like Salesforce.com, ServiceNow, Oracle Fusion ERP, etc. is a must
  • Database Scripting: Proficiency in SQL and other scripting languages.
  • Data Validation Techniques: Experience in ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • ETL/ELT Processes: Familiarity with Extract, Transform, and Load processes.
  • Data Migration Tools: Experience with various data migration tools within each enterprise application.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and work effectively with others. Create statistics, reports, dashboard, etc. for user communication and progress tracking.
  • Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and resolve data-related issues.
  • Skilled in leading collaborative efforts with stakeholders, subject matter experts and peers to gain a clear understanding of data, processes, and requirements, to arrive at accurate identification and correct knowledge of issues, requirements, and solutions.
