Job Description
Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Copywriter II to join our Client's team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This role requires a commitment to accuracy, a strong comprehension of or appetite to learn data engineering principles, and the ability to hone messaging to a specific audience.
Core assignments
- Work with the Brand Copywriting team to create content for Demand Gen and Email Nurture campaigns
- Draft, refine, or edit existing email copy meant to welcome, inspire, or excite Databricks users
- Meet with members of the email marketing and demand generation teams to review copy performance
- Brief the Brand Copywriting team on the performance of email campaigns and proposed copy
- Take direction from Brand Copywriters on how to improve the messaging or quality of various copy projects
Weekly responsibilities
- Edit and refresh existing copy using channel best practices and data
- Work with the email team to review, edit, and finalize emails and promotional copy
- Prioritize what needs to be completed each week to sync with the email calendar
- See projects through to completion – process feedback from stakeholders, make revisions, and hand off final copy
- Ensure copy follows our brand guidelines, tone, and style
Skills
- 5+ years of professional copywriting experience in an agency or in-house marketing team
- Strong editing skills with fluency in AP Style
- Ability to quickly pivot between assignments and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines
- Experience supporting event or campaign-driven marketing preferred
- Background in cloud software, data, or tech industries is a plus
- Curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts and adapt messaging for specialized audiences
- Experience working with tech clients, particularly cloud software companies, preferred
