Manufacturing Engineer 3 Mid Career Manufacturing Engineer

Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.

Position Responsibilities:
Work in a cross-functional work environment including engineering, quality, product support, supplier management, and program management
Build technical data packages for use by suppliers
Develop and implement manufacturing plans
Resolve technical problems that could seriously impact performance, cost, or schedule
Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate a producible definition and investigate alternative solutions to meet producibility requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Skills and Experience)
Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical/ Aerospace /Industrial/ Production/ or Equivalent)
5 + years experience with multiple manufacturing processes such as forming, stamping, machining, bonding, and other techniques.
5 + years knowledge and experience of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data).
Ability to read and interpret old 2D drawings
Familiarity with aerospace parts/products
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft & CATIA
This position will require the ability to obtain customer approval for access. Dual citizenship or prior citizenship of any other country may preclude ability to obtain access. A 3rd party background check relating to personal and business finances, residences, employment history, past drug use, prior military service, and criminal behavior will be conducted.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with out of production aircraft sustainment.
