Job Description

The Phantom Works Advanced Weapons Mission Systems (MS) Capability Team is seeking a highly motivated Electronics & Electrical Engineer to design and integrate avionics into future advanced weapon systems. The mission avionics will perform the guidance, navigation, and control functions of the vehicle, as well as handle all communication and data storage for all avionics components. The avionics will interface with the host aircraft and components including: an IMU, Seeker/Sensor, GPS Receiver, Control Actuation System, Power Controller, Datalink Radio, and more.

The position will require working in a fast paced, innovative environment where excellent technical, organizational, leadership, written, verbal, and active listening communications skills are essential. This position may include frequent interaction with subject matter experts, customers, and industry partners. The ability to work in a collaborative multi-engineering environment and expertise managing suppliers will be imperative to this role.

Key responsibilities in this position will include:
Develop requirements and design for the Vehicle Management System (VMS)/Mission Computer
Design interfaces to other avionics components
Develop system and subsystem models in a model-based system engineering framework
Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture and interface specifications
Work with security and Anti-Tamper teams to satisfy program requirements
Work with software team to satisfy program requirements
Provide technical coordination with external suppliers and customers
Develop and validate requirements for complex sensor systems and components.

Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
