Job Description

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking an SEO Writer to join our Client's team.


Responsibilities: 

  • Write and publish multiple articles per day, optimized for SEO and our brand voice
  • Produce high-quality news and feature articles: how-to-watch guides, listicles, binge guides, easter egg roundups, casting news, etc.
  • Source and size-related media from approved outlets
  • Work closely with the SEO team every step of the way — pitching, assigning, and updating content
  • Use SEO best practices and tools, such as MarketMuse, to optimize articles
  • Bring a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for our movies and shows (Paramount+, CBS, Star Trek universe, etc.) directly to fans
  • Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to brainstorm new ideas
  • Analyze performance metrics to gauge the success of content and make recommendations for future projects
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in entertainment and sports news, streaming media
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through execution
  • Manage content production timelines effectively using project management tools like Asana

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of professional daily entertainment news writing experience at a blue-chip media outlet or media company
  • Proven experience crafting effective, polished articles that require very little editing
  • Experience writing to SEO guidelines
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to produce content that is consistent with the various voices of our brands
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team

Key Qualifications:

  • Meaningful experience writing daily entertainment and/or sports news (especially NFL football, college football and international soccer)
  • Strong storytelling ability through text and images.
  • Sound news judgment
  • Sense of humor
