Job description
Seeking a seasoned senior project manager with 7+ years of solid project management experience for UCOP IT projects spanning multiple systems & technologies including infrastructure, Security, Cloud technologies, Applications etc. The ideal candidate must have demonstrable skills delivering projects in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, vendors and implementation partners
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- PMP (Active certification proof required)
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project management
Skills and Abilities
Required Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of PM methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)
- Highly advanced skills associated with end-to-end PMLC for programs/projects of large -scale scope.
- Demonstrated project leadership, reporting and management skills.
- Demonstrated effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to present/communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
- Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
- Able to deliver projects timely within budget and defined scope.
- Demonstrated complex problem-solving skills with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in higher education
- Experience managing projects to archive accounting system data after migrations to new platforms
Licenses and Certifications
Required Qualifications
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- CSM certification
